Comparing Tall Buildings

Share
The tall buildings in New York are enormous!  Many were built 70 or 80 years ago by men who worked hundreds of feet up with little safety gear.  Looking down from the top of "30 Rock" it was hard to imagine working unprotected at that height - 260 metres (70 floors).

This is only the tenth highest building in New York!  For comparison the Empire State is 102 floors and 381 metres, and the Auckland Sky Tower 328 metres high (although the highest observation deck is at 220 m).
