Our visit to Istanbul was a very interesting experience. As well as being very hot, our hotel rooms left a lot to be desired to say the least. However it was definitely a fascinating place, with lots of spectacular architecture. We went on a cruise and saw the bridge light shows, and visited the bazaar and many of us attempted and failed to haggle with the local shop keepers. We also visited a rug merchant, but unsurprisingly none of us high school students had enough money to afford one!
