James takes off

James left this morning from Wellington at 0830 for Auckland, with 68 other boys from Wellington College.  They leave Auckland at 1210 for Singapore on Singapore Airlines SQ286, arriving there at 1900 and resting for about 6 hours before flying on to Ataturk airport in Istanbul, Turkey.  Arrival there will be at 0745 on Sunday Turkey time (1645 in NZ), about 32 hours after leaving Wellington.  Finally they set off by bus and ferry for Cannakale, where they will finally be able to sit quietly and recover.  At least the hotel (http://www.kolinhotel.com/) looks as though it has a nice pool!
